It is believed that there were about 250 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander languages spoken (and approximately 500 different language varieties) in Australia. Since colonisation three quarter of the traditional languages have been lost. Nerdu Badji is taken from traditional aboriginal language meaning ‘Education Pathways’. We believe that Education Pathways are the gateway to improving the quality of life through meaningful employment for Indigenous Australians.
